GMC Envoy XUV. They're bigger than regular Envoys. They don't seem all that much more practical than a regular Envoy... if you needed more space in 2004 just step up to an Envoy XL orTahoe/Suburban for a little more money.
These didn't sell well and at least for me, I see one... maybe once every 6 months.
Somewhat unrelated... I really like the Seq's power rear window.

I am literally writing a "Cars time soon forgot" on the XUV right now

Good times. I remember when my dad went to look at it (FOR SOME ODD REASON EVENTHOUGH HE HATES AMERICAN CARS) back in 2003. It has that trick truck rear end if I remember correctly and the rear window and roof goes somewhere LOL, but you can put tall thingggggggs into it.
Makes it only better the fact when I searched for a picture of this Google Recommended Search included Tailgate Won't Open or Not Working.

Aren't those the ones where you could basically retract the whole back end coverings?

I saw one of these the other day with saran wrap covering up the hole where a rear window once was

Yeah but you can buy a new truck for less back then and have more versatility/utility.

My Sport Trac had a power rear window and I loved it. That is one thing I miss with the WRX. Also what is the reason behind coloring out licence plate numbers?

I hate New York's new license plate colors.
Yes, I'm still bitching about this.

I don't know, I always color out my license plate.

That seems pretty useful. It's not always the size of the storage, but ease of the access.

I love radical colored license plates. My favorites are New York and New Mexico LOL.

Me too! I like the older white and blue ones more.
My favorite was the 90s ones with the Liberty logo on it.

My mum has a GMC Envoy XL. It's much better to drive than a huge Tahoe or Suburban (looks better too) and still gets the job done just as well as the bigger SUVs.
The XUV is a nice concept but with poor execution. The bed was too tiny to fit any bulk objects, the roof often leaked, and the removal of the rear seats made it a very large 4.5 seat vehicle. IIRC, the Envoy's centre row doesn't have a centre belt.

Not sure about this case, but when you are racing/driving like a jackass you should always blind your plates. Insurance companies can drop you if they see it. There used to be insurance reps that would show up to our local drag strips and write down plate numbers. There's a lot of rumors about if it actually happens or not, etc, etc but it happened to a friend of mine so I take it as fact.

Two reasons I would buy one of these
1. can be had for around $7500
2.

My parents had one of these! They had the top tier SLT trim too, My dad had 3 GMC Sierras beforehand, and was ready to buy his fourth. He came back with this instead because they were practically giving it away. Besides the fact it was ugly as sin, I actually liked it. Lots of power from the straight six, it was awesome to drive with all the windows down, divider folded down, sunroof and roof open on a beautiful day. The tailgate had a cool feature where it could drop like a pickup tailgate or swing open to the side. I can't say we ever made practical use of that roof, but the fact the rear cargo area could be completely separated was great when I was a kid with a horribly smelly Ice Hockey gear bag that needed transporting.
